Include any other comments or information you want the Commission to consider in evaluating your compliance with the Children's Television Act (or use this space for supplemental explanations). This may include information on any other noncore educational and informational programming that you aired this quarter or plan to air during the next quarter, or any existing or proposed non-broadcast efforts that will enhance the educational and informational value of such programming to children. See 47 C.F.R. Section 73.671, NOTES 2 and 3. The station's channel number changed from 4 to 36 on 9/29/2014. During this quarter, ECIV addressed the educational and informational needs of children through a mixture of programming, outreach activities and sponsorships of local children's events and fundraisers. We partnered with the City of Charleston and other businesses to sponsor the annual First Day Festival. This is a community-wide celebration of education that encourages parents to attend school with their children on the first day, urges businesses to support parents by giving them time off to get involved in their child's education, and enhances public engagement in our schools. The First Day Festival encourages widespread support for the education of our community's children. The goal is to ensure that all students are able to start school with the resources necessary to participate fully in the learning process. Every August, Charleston welcomes thousands of students and their families to its annual Festival. At the Festival, students and their families receive school supplies, discover student support services, learn about healthy snacks, and enjoy Festival entertainment such as Aquarium tours and boat rides at no cost to attendees. The Festival is made possible through contributions from individuals and businesses. ECIV manned a booth with many of our on-air personalities who participated in interactive games with the children and gave away rulers and other school supplies. The First Day Festival is a wonderful way to unite the community around an important cause. This year, the 12th Annual First Day Festival was held at Liberty Square at the SC Aquarium and the Charleston Maritime Center from 1:00-4:00pm. There were a number of fun and free events that took place including admission into the SC Aquarium; tours of Ft. Sumter Museum; boat rides; educational exhibits; healthy snacks; face painting; kids zone and health and wellness exhibits. This event was supported by an on-air PSA campaign, website promotion; newscast promotion; social media promotion (Facebook & Twitter) and live news package from the event. We provided numerous opportunities for Girl and Boy Scout groups, school groups and summer camp attendees to visit and tour the station to learn about careers in broadcasting. Meteorologist visited the Children's Museum of the Lowcountry twice during the quarter and visited several area schools to present science and weather lessons.
