Include any other comments or information you want the Commission to consider in evaluating your compliance with the Children's Television Act (or use this space for supplemental explanations). This may include information on any other noncore educational and informational programming that you aired this quarter or plan to air during the next quarter, or any existing or proposed non-broadcast efforts that will enhance the educational and informational value of such programming to children. See 47 C.F.R. Section 73.671, NOTES 2 and 3. During the first quarter, WWHO addressed the educational and informational needs of children through a variety of programming, outreach activities and sponsorship of local children's events and fundraisers. The CW Stars sponsored segments entitled "Weekend Out" which highlighted many family friendly opportunities around the city. This is designed to encourage families to get out and do things together. Some of these activities included children's musical concerts, miniature car races, outdoor athletic activites and family friendly expos. These activities not only encourage family time but also promote exercise and healthy living. WWHO also airs a series of PSA's designed to teach children about the world around them, including respecting the environment, the dangers of drugs and alcohol and the importance of family values. Many of these PSA's are run during the Saturday morning cartoon block CW Kids when children are most likely to be viewing. Finally, the station accepts requests for station tours.
