NON BROADCAST EFFORTS FOR THIRD QUARTER 2011: FIRST ALERT WEATHER CLASS - An Internet program for schools in our coverage area. This program is a fun interactive way for the students to learn about the ins and outs of weather and meteorology. We cover all the basics of weather including tornadoes, hurricanes, and severe weather safety. Students have the chance to discuss weather extremes here in the United States and in Kentucky, along with getting a behind-the-scenes look at the First Alert Defender Center. The program is full of great graphics and should be easy for students to follow - no matter what the grade level.
