See 47 C.F.R. Section 73.671, NOTES 2 and 3. WBFF continued its commitment to childrens educational and informational needs during the 4th quarter. The station produced and broadcast PSAs designed for children from both national and local non-profits and governmental agencies. The station produced a daily calendar of local community events designed for children. The chief priority of the station was to air PSAs that addressed childhood obesity through encouragement of healthier food choices, playtime, and regular physical activity. Working with the Baltimore City Task Force on Food Accessibility and the United Way campaign for Healthy Foods, the station continued its Get Fresh Baltimore campaign. PSAs were produced and broadcast for the Fit Families Foundation as well as the Center for Disease Control and Health and Human Services. WBFF continued its partnership with The Maryland Science Center, The National Aquarium and the B & O Railroad Museum promoting science, ecology, biology and history as fun and interactive. The station served as media sponsor for The March of Dimes Signature Chefs Tasting raising funds for healthy babies, Toys for Tots helping the USMC Reserve collect over 60,000 toys for disadvantaged families, St Vincent de Paul of Baltimore collecting winter coats and clothing for homeless families and those living in area shelters, and the Howard Hospital Foundation Symphony of Lights raising funds for maternal-child health programs. Station tours and orientation about preparation for careers in broadcasting were conducted for local schools, scout troops and the students participating in champions of Courage essay competition. Station management and staff serve on local non-profit board addressing the needs and interests of children including the Mental Health Association of Maryland, South Baltimore Learning Center, Fuel Fund of Maryland and the Fit Families Foundation.
