On October 24, 2011 KAAL-TV secondary channel aired on 6.2 (ThisTV). KAAL's 5 & 6:00 anchor had lunch with students from Pinewood Elementary School in Rochester MN to recognize students for achieving their goals. KAAL's morning anchor team delivered nearly 200 childrens books to First Care Pregnancy Center in Rochester MN to get books to children at an early age. KAAL's 6 & 10:00pm anchor delivered nearly 200 books to Brownsdale Elementary, Brownsdale MN as part of the get books to children. 200 books were also delivered to the Parenting Resource Center in Austin MN and 200 books to Families First of Minnesota, Rochester MN.
