The series follows a group of six dogs from Racerville who love to compete with one another in races. In each story, one of more of the dogs encounter and solve problems that teach them social-emotional lissons on good sportsmanship, teamwork, cooperation, playing fair, and friendship. The show also imparts information on the mechanics of racing in directionality and comcepts of distance and time. Pearlie is an animated comedy series based on the children's book series Pearlie the Park Fairy by Wendy Harmer. Pearlie is an optimistic, light-hearted fairy who sees the good in everybody, but often gets inito situations because her desire to help is larger than her capacity to deliver,. Aimed for an audience within the 408 year old range, Pearlie focuses on the importance of following the rules, using good judgement and learning how to avoid getting into trouble. SInce Pearlie was appointed by Fairy Head Quarters (HQ) to keep Jubilee Park in sparkling order she has constant challenges with her basic goal of keeping every9one happy and making susre the park functions smoothly. Pearlie's nemesis and cousin Saphira, often takes advantage of Pearlie's good nature which requires that P earlie must also frequently outwit the park bully. In each episode, we see Pearlie approach new tasks and probles with a great deal of enthusiasm, but without the organization required to get the job done. Through plot developments and with the assistance of her friends, Opal and Jasper, she learns what to do and what not to do in each situation so the park can be restorede to order. He lives with his adoptive family, the Clams, in Shell Land, an undersea community populated by all sorts of sea species. See 47 C.F.R. Section 73.671, NOTES 2 and 3. WHAG, in conjuction with the NBC affiliation, aired a number of PSA's "The More You Know" PSA's. The October total was 98, the November total was 83 and the December total was 115. The :10 and :30 themes of these PSA's deal with the enviornment, tolerance, mentoring, and violence prevention. The More You Know's website (www.nbc.com/tmyk) features scripts from the award-winning public service anouncements, referral information for the organizations referenced in the PSA's, a general campaign over view, and educational metarials produced in connection with NBC programming. The site also includs al ist of the campaign's most recent accolades. During the quarter, there were 23 news stories appropriate for children that aired on either the 5PM or 6PM newscast. The content of these stories ranged from...Students from Williamsport Elementary School, Springfield Middle School, and Williamsport High School planted trees on an acre of land near the high school as part of the Lions Club Plant A Million Trees Around the World...An annual tradition that helps thousands of hungary families, Boy Scouts in Frederick kicked off their "Scouting for Food".....Some kids in Frederick got to brush up on their bicycle skills and learn some safety tips in the first ever Bicycle Swap and Rodeo yesterday. Kids Cast - every Wednesday during our 5PM newscast weather segment, a third to fifth grade school student gives our weather forecast. Children draw a picture of "weather events" and submits it to our local Kids Cast sponsors. Each week, a picture is chosen, and the child that drew it sits in on our live news set and delivers the local weather. The child arrives early and in addition to learning about the weather, they get to see how a live newscast works "behind the scenes". During the month of October 61 30-second promos for the WHAG Student Athlete of the Month. During the month of November 61 promos aired, and during the month of December 61 promos aired. The community nominates the students. Then each month, a male and female athlete is chosen for their outstanding efforts in the classroom and on the field. A feature story is done on each winner and aired within the local news. Congratulations promos air during the following month. November 3, Bryan Tolle, Meteorologist, went to Clear Spring Elementary School to talk with a group of second graders. He talked about the weather (tornadoes, snow, etc) On November 8, Ava-Joye Burnett (reporter) and Tim Pandagis (meteoroligist) participiated in "Focus on the Future" Career Day for Allegany County Schools. They spoke to the 7th graders in the county about what it's like working in the news room at a TV station. On December 8, Pack 36, Den 4 Tigers, Halfway toured the station. They toured the news room, control room, studio and weather center. On December 14, a group from the Hagerstown Pre-School Co-op toured the station. They toured the news room, control room, weather center and studio. On December 28, Pack 799, Frederick toured the station. They toured the news room, studio, control room and weather center. Hugh Breslin, VP and General Manager is on the Advisory Board of the Mason Dixon Boy Scouts.

Shelldon is an animated series about a school-aged yoka shell mollusk named Shelldon. He lives with his adoptive family, the Clams, in Shell Land, an undersea community populated by all sorts of sea species. Shelldon and his best friends, Connie (a cowry shell mollusk) and Herman (a hermit crab) face a specific challenge in every episode. The problem may be managing a bully, improving their grades, learning how to be altuistic, or protecting their enviornment from natural and man-made disasters. In all cases, they rely on Dr. shell, the most venerated intellectual and elder in Shell Land who teaches them and gives them, opportunities to harness their potential and solve the problem. Each episode provides a direct social-emotional lesson and many episodes provide informational content relating to the sea life habitat of Shell Land and environmental conversation.

Turbo Dogs is a show about six canine friends--Dash, GT, Clutch, Stinkbert, Strut and Mags--who have their own distinct characteristics but share a common love of racing cars. The fastest dogs in Racerville, the Turbo Dogs often compete with one another in races. The dogs each have their own racers, which they maintain regularly, and that are equipped with individual GPS systems to help and guide them. Each story begins with one of the Turbo Dogs encountering a problem that must be resolved while preparing to compete. Usually, the Turbo Dog learns his/her lesson through experience and accountability for negative behavior. Social-emotional messages about sportsmanship, teamwork, cooperation, and fairness developed in the story are emphasized in a separate tags at the end of each episode.

The Magic School Bus is based on a series of children's books about science written by Joanna Cole. The show features the ingenious Ms. Frizzle, an elementary school teacher and intrepid explorer who piles her students into her Magic School Bus and takes them on amazing field trips to impossible locations. The goal of each field trip to answer questions or learn many new things about the place the class visits. Each episode is a fact filled expedition to places as diverse as the solar system, the human body or even inside weather systems. The bus transforms to suit the enviornment and the kids freely explore and share their learning with each other and with Ms. Frizzle, who nudges her students to "make connections" and answer their own questions with research. The class pet, Lizzie, a large lizard, accompanies the class on their field trips. The content of the show is appropriate for children from ages 4 to 9 and in addition to all the factual content, the children also have a socio-emotional problem to solve that is embedded into the story line.

Viewers are taken to various parts of this great country to many parts of the world and then introduced to the people and their culture and to the flora and fuana of the area. Sons Max and Rex are co-stars. As they are taught on camera, they are also instructing America's youth about all of these elements.

Pearlie is an animated comedy series based on the children's book series Pearlie the Park Fairy by Wendy Harmer. Pearlie is an optimistic, light-harted fairy who sees the good in everybody, but often gets into situations because her desire to help is larger than her capacity to deliver. Aimed for an audience whthin the 4-8 year old range, Pearlie focuses on the importance of following the rules, using good judgment and learning how to avoid getting into trouble. Since Perlie was appointed by Fairy Head Quarters (HQ) to keep Jubilee Park in sparking order she has constant challenges with her basic goal of keeping everyone happy and making sure the park functions smoothly. Pearlie's nemesis and cousin Saphira, often takes advantage of Pearlie's good nature which requires that Pearlie must also frequently outwit the park bully. In each episode, we see Pearlie approach new tasks and problems with a great deal of enthusiasm, but without the organization required to get the job done. Through plot developments and with the assistance of her friends, Opal and Jasper, she learns what to do and what not to do in each situation so the park can be restored to order.
