Section 73.671, NOTES 2 and 3. | Due to CBS changing the childrens programming line-up BUSYTOWN MYSTERIES-, BUSYTOWN MYSTERIES-II, DOODLEBOPS ROCKIN ROADSHOW-I, DOODLEBOPS ROCKIN ROADSHOW-II, SABRINAS SECRET LIFE, SABRINA THE ANIMATED SERIES ended their run on January 29, 2011. These program were replaced by HORSELAND-I, HORSELAND-II, BUSYTOWN MYSTERIES-I, BUSYTOWN MYSTERIES-II, DOODLEBOPS ROCKIN ROADSHOW, and TROLLZ on February 5, 2011. On Tuesday January 25th, WHATEVER show failed to air on WFMYs 2.2 Weather Channel, due to an inadvertently technical failure. WHATEVER was made good in its second home on Saturday January 29, at 10:30am. Viewer notification was made starting on Tuesday January 26 at 7:00pm airing at least twice an hour and during hours of childrens programming on the 2.2 channel. WFMY-TVs Non-broadcast Efforts to Enhance Childrens Education: WFMYs annual Food 2 Families drive was held in February. We partnered with the Boy Scouts in our market to collect food . The scouts collected more than 154,708pounds of non-perishable food for local food banks and pantries. WFMY sponsored the annual Summer Camp Craze & Expo on March 5th. More than 1,000 parents and children attended this event to seek information and resources about upcoming summer camps. WFMY News 2 partnered with Operation Smile to raise funds to help children locally and across the world receive the surgery needed to correct cleft lip and cleft pallet deformities. Chief meteorologist, Eric Chilton and his local band performed a concert that raised funds and Eric participated in a local DANCING WITH THE STARS type event that raised even more dollars. Additionally local schools, churches and civic groups made contributions to the campaign. These total efforts raised over $350,000 for Operation Smile. |
