Overall, learning is a constant process for Pearlie because she has big responsibilities, taking care of an entire little community, but she is indomitable and tenacious and ends up preserving order and happiness in Jubilee Park. |

Our staff regularly offers tours of the station and speaks to students at their schools, career days, etc. ******************** Academic Challenge: Airing at 6:30pm on Sundays, this year's season started on October 16, 2011 and ended on June 3, 2012. A half hour show, Academic Challenge features student teams from 20 Southern Oregon and Northern California High Schools. Teams are asked history, math, English, geography and other academic questions. This is a double elimination tournament and the final two teams will play not only for the championship, but the winners will also be awarded scholarship money. ********************** Southern Oregon Meth Project: Created by NBC 5 and NBC 2, our main goal is to considerably decrease the prevalence of first time Meth users in Southern Oregon, with the primary focus being children. This initiative has won an Emmy, the National Association of Broadcasters Service to America Award, along with several state and regional awards. ON Sunday, 4/15, Missing was scheduled to air at 3pm. Hockey went long and Missing was JIP'd at 3:17pm. On Sundays, 4/22 and 4/29, Missing was scheduled to air at 3pm. Hockey went long and the entire program did not air (DNA) on either date. On Sunday, 5/16, Missing was scheduled to air at 3:30pm. Hockey ended early, so Missing was moved up and aired at 3:00pm. On Saturday 6/4, Dog Tales was scheduled to air at 4:00pm. Horse racing went long and Dog Tales was JIP'd at 4:04pm. On Saturday, 6/16 Missing was scheduled to air at 7:30pm, Golf went long and Missing DNA. KOBI-TV (NBC5 WX Now 5.2) Core Programs On Saturday 5/26, we had technical issues on our D2 station, WX Now. The timing went out of sync and several shows aired outside of their normal time period and one was cut completely from the schedule. Real Life 101, scheduled to air at 11am, aired at 12:15pm, Aqua Kids, scheduled to air at 1pm, aired at 2:22pm and Missing, scheduled to air at 1:30pm, aired at 2:52pm.
