KAAL-TV LLC filed their renewal application for station KAAL-TV on November 10th, 2005, File No. BRCT 20051130AEY. The application was accepted for filing on December 1, 2005 and remains pending. On October 24, 2011 KAAL-TV secondary channel aired on 6.2 (ThisTV). For the 3rd Qtr of 2012 our morning anchors and 5,6&10PM anchors were all involved in the following events either as speakers, hosts,volunteers or gave talks within our local community. Our 6&10PM anchors participated in "Kiss An Animal Contest" for 4-H Fundraiser at Mower County Fair in Austin MN. Our morning meteorologist gave a tour of the Austin Newsroom and Weather Center to Austin Kids Korner Summer Program. Our morning anchor Judge for "Sprouts Cropped Competition: for Childrens Garden in Austin, MN Kids competed to create healthy, delicious meals using fresh fruits & vegetables; numerous KAAL-TV staff participated in numerous community parades (Rochester, Austin, Albert Lea, Stewartville, Byron)in which KAAL staff, students from the previously listed town schools, and veterans rode a trolley car provided by KAAL-TV.
