During the 2nd Quarter, WBFF continued its commitment to serve the educational and informational needs of children through broadcast and outreach initiatives. WBFF offers an opportunity for teachers to nominate students as Wednesday Weather Kid and the student comes to the station, meets with the morning meteorologist for a private weather and forecasting lesson and then appears on the morning news to help deliver the weather report. In addition, the station airs daily community calendars during childrens programming promoting community events at local libraries, cultural institutions, schools, recreational facilitiles and churches that are designed for children and families. Station management continued to serve on boards for local non-profits serving the intersts of children.
