The students had a weather question and answer with Nick and stayed to watch the live Noon broadcast. On April 20, 2013 Meteorologist Nick Johnston served as the Keynote Speaker at the SUNY Albany Children's Earth Day Event. Students from ages 4-22 attended the event. Meteorologist Nick Johnston welcomed 2-4th grade classes from Schalmont School District on May 1-3, 2013. Each grade came to visit for one hour on each day for a weather presentation and question and answer session. Anchor Liz Bishop welcomed to the studio the Mohonasen Live Production class on May 8th. The students had a question and answer session with Liz and stayed to watch the live Noon broadcast. On May 20, 2013, Meteorologist Nick Johnston welcomed 4th grade students from Pownal, Vermont Elementary School. The students had a weather question and answer with Nick and stayed to watch the live Noon broadcast. Meteorologist Nick Johnston attended Sacred Heart School Family Fun/Career Day on June 4, 2013, Nick spoke to the students ranging from first to sixth grade about his career path and work as a meteorologist.
