Aimed for an audience within the 6-10 year old range, Pearlie focuses on the importance of following the rules, using good judgment and learning how to avoid getting into trouble. Since Pearlie was appointed by Fairy Head Quarters (HQ) to keep Jubilee Park in sparkling order she has constant challenges with her basic goal of keeping everyone happy and making sure the park functions smoothly. Pearlie's nemesis and cousin Saphira, often takes advantage of Pearlie's good nature which requires that Pearlie must also frequently outwit the park bully. In each episode, Pearlie approaches new tasks and problems with a great deal of enthusiasm, but without the organization required to get the job done. Through plot developments and with the assistance of her friends, Opal and Jasper, she learns what to do and what not to do in each situation so the park can be restored to order.

Willa lives at home with her father and pets -- an elephant, a giraffe, a pair of performing seals, a bear, penguins, and lots of rabbits. In each episode, Willa faces a challenge at home, in school or in her neighborhood. With her animals and best friend Dooley as key elements of her team, Willa works on solutions to overcome her challenge. Together they find ways to maintain healthy friendships, experience success, develop competence, and become altruistic. With help from her animal friends, Willa figures out how to earn the things she wants by helping others. She learns to appreciate the friends that she has rather than trying to change to fit in with the "cool" group. She realizes that asking questions is better than jumping to conclusions. Whether at school, home or in the neighborhood, Willa finds a way to analyze her situation and learn from experience.

Include any other comments or information you want the Commission to consider in evaluating your compliance with the Children's Television Act (or use this space for supplemental explanations). This may include information on any other noncore educational and informational programming that you aired this quarter or plan to air during the next quarter, or any existing or proposed non-broadcast efforts that will enhance the educational and informational value of such programming to children. See 47 C.F.R. Section 73.671, NOTES 2 and 3. SPECIAL NOTE: KTRE FCC 398 Report revised and re-filed on Oct.10,2012 to include additional educational/informational programs that aired on Telemundo channel on 7/1/12. These programs were added under Question #10 as Programs #15, #16 and #17. Please note: Dragonfly was preempted on 9/22 and 9/29 due to technical problems. One segment of the program on both dates did not air. These two episodes of Dragonfly will be made good on 10/6/12. That is why KTRE has 11 episodes of Dragonfly airing in third quarter 2012. The remaining 2 episodes will be made good in fourth quarter 2012. Several children's educational/informational programs were preempted due to Olympics Coverage on our Telemundo Channel. KTRE made good preempted children's programs in their designated second homes in several instances. KTRE had to designate a "second" second home for some children's programs in order to make good preempted episodes. The remainder of the preemptions were scheduled outside their designated second homes to make the programs good.KTRE notified television program guide services and made on-air announcements regarding the rescheduled times to alert children and parents to the change in scheduling of children's educational/informational programs due to the Olympics. KTRE aired Now Eat This! with Rocco DiSpirito on Saturdays, 9/22/12 & 9/29/12 at 11-11:30am. This is an educational/informational program targeted to children ages 13-16. Chef Rocco DiSpirito's new E/I show is dedicated to helping teens and families eat better, and live healthier lives, without sacrificing flavor. Rocco has two passions in life: family and food. He knows that the pressures of modern life make it harder for families to stay whole and eat wisely. Drawing from his own real life experiences, Rocco is determined to bring families back together over a delicious, healthy meal. Each 30-minute episode is focused on an individual, or a family, and their issues related to food and health. Examples include guests and families struggling with weight issues; trying to feed budding athletes; eating right on a budget; fighting serious health issues like diabetes; simply desiring to live a healthier life. Through the course of each episode, Rocco teaches the guest(s) and viewers important information about food and nutrition, guiding them to make better choices with the food they eat. In the process, they'll learn to cook, Rocco style. Fun and entertaining, and loaded with valuable takeaway information. Each episode ends with a renewed sense of purpose, and a commitment to change for the better.
