Michael the Visitor tells the story of a shoemaker named Simon who ventures out one winter night to collect a sum of money that he is owed, but instead, returns home with a man that he finds naked and freezing behind a roadside shrine. Simon's wife is annoyed by her husband's pity for bringing home another mouth to feed, but the young man soon shows himself to be a useful apprentice. Could God have a plan for this young man, and for Simon, who had the kind heart that the young man needed to shine? While he mocks the townspeople's merry preparations, Hans is visited by an angel who brings the promise of a very special gift. Hans eagerly awaits the return of this angelic messenger and crafts a gift to give in return the finest pair of red boots every made. As the story unfolds, Hans learns the joys of sharing and fellowship, and finally embraces the spirit of Christmas as he does indeed receive the ultimate gift a gift from God. A wonderful program to teach children the true meaning of Christmas.
