The Swamp Critters of the Lost Lagoon is a unique children's television series created and produced by legend music legend Bobby Goldsboro. Swamp Critters deal with important issues such as pollution, cooperation, and prejudice. Each episode teaches value-centered lessons in self-esteem and decision making. Throughout the series children are introduced to a variety of music styles including blues, rock and roll, country, Cajun and even classics. Swamp Critters received the recommended seal of approval from Parent's choice, and was featured in a New York Time Magazine roundup of new, educational FCC kid-friendly programs. Captain Chuckleberry and his sidekicks have a great time aboard Tugboat Bob. Children are encouraged to explore their imagination while learning lessons in life through sing-a-longs, cartoons, dancing, and great stories.Children are taught practical life lessons such as acts of random kindness of loving the unlovable...and responsibility and consequences of their actions. They also learn handcrafts...such as making a paper clock and learning how to tell time.

A combination of live action and puppets, it was very similar in style to Sesame Street but with a biblically-based approach to communicating values. Each program teaches a moral and valuable life truth. Among the subjects being taught to children are: learning to accept responsibility for your actions...working and getting along others...giving and sharing... honesty...overcoming fear....using kind words....etc.
