Check Your Health is a campaign that includes media coverage on KUTV & with the Simmons radio group. Commercials and stories are run that encourage viewers to make good choices, be active and eat healthy. This campaign has a broad range that we are trying to reach; male, female, old and young. BABY YOUR BABY - on going campaign - this campaign focuses on women 18-35, sharing the message of seeing your doctor 13 times during your pregnancy and by the 13th week you are pregnant. We cover stories, have in studio interviews and maintain multiple social media platforms that encourage women to participate in pre-natal and post-delivery care. STEM - KUTV is teaming up with STEM to help promote science, technology, engineering and math through best practices in education. The objective is to ensure connectivity with industry and Utah's long-term economic prosperity. Through legislation, there is money for applied science technology products focused specifically Career and Technical Education (CTE) courses in grades 7 and 8 across the state. Spots are aired on KUTV and feature students and their successes to spread the word about this education centric organization. Even when school is out of session, viewers can find STEM promotions running on KUTV. RIDE FOR LIFE - KUTV is committed to supporting the Ronald McDonald House through the Ride For Life campaign. Ronald McDonald House provides a caring home away from home for families of seriously ill or injured children being treated at local hospitals. The RMHC offers in hospital respite areas for parents of pediatric patients. KUTV is thrilled to highlight this organization in various ways, including live shots with KUTV anchors during our AM and Noon shows. We hosted the "Pig on the Plaza BBQ" fundraiser where the public could buy lunch/donate to the cause and watch televised interviews live, outside KUTV studios. The day of the Harley ride, we did a live shot as well a package featuring the event on our news. KUTV talent attended the registration event to increase public participation. |
