INTO THE WILD's emphasis on the visual dovetails with the disposition towards visual learning that is evident in children of all ages, but particularly in the early teen years. The program topic is suitable for both the secondary classroom and general teen audience with content addressing several academic outcomes designated by both state and national life science standards. Shot from a number of photographic perspectives, the viewer is introduced to the biodiversity of the area, how animals are adapted to the environment and the changes humas have imposed on the environment as well as the positive impact of local conservation efforts in the region.
