Craig gave a presentation of weather facts, followed by a question and answer session. He also spoke to the students about pursuing a career in the Broadcast Meteorologist field. The students also received a tour of the news and weather sets. Public Service Announcements targeting children's needs: Boystown Hotline, CDC Concussion Safety, Academy of Nutrition: Home Food Safety, Girl Scouts of America: Best in Me, Ad Council: Wildfire Prevention, Fatherhood Involvement, Discovering Nature, Texting and driving prevention, Child Passenger Safety, Partnership for a Drug Free America: Share your story campaign, Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation: Vision campaign Public Service Campaigns targeting children's needs: Be an Ally Campaign January-March CBS 6 and CW 15 after hearing news reports about the consequences of school bullying, formed a partnership with the Anti-Defamation League (ADL), Neil & Jane Golub and Price Chopper that resulted in Be an Ally, a media campaign communicating a positive message in response to bullying. Be an Ally includes practical steps designed to empower people to stop the cycle of hate and bullying. The campaign which launched in June 2012 and continues through the third quarter of 2014 features CBS 6 on-air personalities and consists of a mixture of thirty second public service announcements, that air on both CBS 6 and CW 15. No Text Zone Campaign Texting While Driving Kills Thousands of People Each Year. Many More are Seriously Injured. The No Text Zone Campaign by CBS 6 strives to encourage viewers to keep roads Safe By taking the "No Text Zone" Pledge on cbs6albany.com.
