Describe the educational and informational objective of the program and how it meets the definition of Core Programming. | Cloud Bread is a beautiful fantasy animation that follows the adventures of the adorable and warm-hearted cat siblings as they set out to help friends and neighbors. The fantasy develops as a cloud that is hung up on a tree branch outside the window is grabbed by Hongbi and her younger brother Hongsi. It is as light as cotton, and they take it to their mother. The mother puts the cloud in a big bowl. She pours in fresh milk, water, yeast, salt and sugar and kneads the dough. She makes small, circular lumps and bakes them in the oven. After 45 minutes, cloud-shaped bread floats about from the oven with a delicious smell. The siblings also float after eating the bread. Hongbi and Hongsi fly high into the sky and deliver the bread to their father, who skipped breakfast because he was running late for work. The two fly to the public library and fix books there that have been damaged and scribbled on. They also chase after flying laundry in an adventurous trip. Thus, begins the adventures of these siblings. Cloud Bread was developed to teach children to think fantastically with the goal of helping others. |

Include any other comments or information you want the Commission to consider in evaluating your compliance with the Children's Television Act (or use this space for supplemental explanations). This may include information on any other noncore educational and informational programming that you aired this quarter or plan to air during the next quarter, or any existing or proposed non-broadcast efforts that will enhance the educational and informational value of such programming to children. See 47 C.F.R. Section 73.671, NOTES 2 and 3. | KTSF 26.2 content was produced primarily in Japan and translated into English (either dubbed or subtitled) for non-Japanese speaking viewers. Some content was produced in Japan in English - typically News content. Broadcasting hours were limited to 60.5 hours of programming per week. Broadcast of 26.2 ceased at midnight on October 31, 2011. KTSF 26.3 is an all-Korean language channel, a time shifted transmission of the KBS America satellite feed (produced by KBS, one of South Korea's 2-major television networks). Regarding the E/I symbol - KBS America (KTSF Ch. 26.3) does not have English language graphic insertion capability. Further, KBS America suggests that, since the Korean language does not use Roman alphabet characters and, since their programming targets a Korean speaking audience, the E/I symbol will not make sense to their viewers. KTSF 26.4 content is produced in China and transmitted via satellite. Like 26.2, most of the programming is either dubbed or subtitled in English. KTSF 26.5 (Vietoday) is an all-Vietnamese language channel. With respect to item 14 - program schedule information for the Korean channel (26.3), the Chinese/English channel (26.4), and the Vietnamese channel (26.5) is made available to KTSF 1-3 weeks in advance of broadcast. Therefore, we are unable to provide advance descriptions of next quarter's core programming for these channels. |
