Also, On Saturday August 25th and Sunday August 26th WPLG preempted E/I Programming on it's main channel 10.1 (WPLG) for continous coverage of Tropical Storm Isaac. Two of the E/I programs scheduled to air on Saturday, August 25th were already moved to Sunday, August 26th because of a network sporting event. WPLG did notify the public in advance of the move but because of the 35 straight hours of storm coverage those E/I programs were also preempted. Again, all six half hours of E/I programming for the weekend of 8/25 were preempted with no make good due to wall to wall coverage of severe weather/ Tropical Strom Isaac.

Produced for ages 13-16, Sea Rescue offers educational and entertaining television by demonstrating the welfare and medical benefits that rescue and rehabilitation programs provide animals. Viewers will also learn that there's a reciprocal benefit: rescued animals provide valuable insight into their biology and ecology. This information adds to the pool of knowledge necessary to conserve threatened and endangered species. Each week, Sea Rescue will leave its audience inspired by the real-life stories of the featured animals and rescuers and with a fuller understanding of the rich array of sea life with which we share our planet.
