Mark Schollett was a host for the National team academic competition for high school students. This is a national event for high school students. Jamie Innis was a judge for Dance Battle 4 the Cure to raise money for child and adult cancer research. Our meteorologists have continued their visits to various local elementary school classroom to talk with the students about meteorology, weather and science. We ran the following PSA's during 1sr quarter 2015 that covered topics that applied to children; No Text Zone, several different ADHD PSAs, Al Anon, Alcohol Abuse courageous persuaders, Buzzed Driving, Childhood Obesity, Computer skills, Concussion prevention, Drugfree.org, Dental Minute, Diabetes Association, Drunk Driving, Dyslexia, preventing eating disorders, Kids Oral Health, Lets move.org, MADD, Mind your Meds, Pertussis, Reading, Prevent school violence, Several different Stop Bullying PSA's, Teen Suicide prevention, Traverse District Library, Underage Drinking, GED Achievement, Big Brothers/Big Sisters, Boystown Nat'l Hotline, Flu shot awareness, Learning & Attention issue, Let Girls Learn, Seat Belt Use, and Unicef.
