See 47 C.F.R. Section 73.671, NOTES 2 and 3. Busytown Mysteries II was preempted on October 6 due to a CBS Football game of NAVY vs. Air Force. This episode was made good in its second home on October 13, at 12pm. On September 29, One week prior to the preemption, crawls were aired over the program to inform parents of the preemption and the date and time the program would air. Crawls were also aired over the football game on October 6, to inform viewers of when and where the preempted program could be seen. Non-broadcast Efforts to Enhance Childrens Education - Greater Greensboro CROP Hunger Run Walk - students from Brown Summit Middle School, Canterbury School, Northern Guilford High School, and St. Pius X School held their own CROP Hunger Walks. Students from these schools raised cash donations and collected nonperishable food to fight hunger. A portion of the funds collected will go to the Greensboro Urban Ministry and some will go to worldwide hunger relief. WFMY News 2 partnered with local Salvation Army units for the Stuff A Stocking campaign. From November 8 through December 14, viewers were encouraged to pick up empty stockings at area retailers to be stuffed with age appropriate stocking stuffers. The stockings were donated to more than 10,000 children ages infant to age 12 through the Salvation Army Christmas programs. WFMY News 2 Piedmont Winterfest - During November and December, WFMY News 2 sponsored Winterfest in Greensboro. Children and teens had the opportunity to experience firsthand outdoor ice skating and to participate in activities at the rink.Read 2 Succeed - WFMY News 2 and Guilford County Schools are working together to put books in the hands of students and help reach the goal of reading 3 million books by the end of the year. The Good Morning Show has personally delivered the message about literacy by visiting 15 local elementary and middle schools. The team has created a fun and interactive assembly program designed to excite students about reading. Most importantly, these assemblies are reinforcing the connection between good reading skills and success in life.
