Describe the educational and informational objective of the program and how it meets the definition of Core Programming. Tree Fu Tom is set in a miniature magical countryside and village area (Treetopolis) on the top of a part of a trunk of a big tree. It follows the adventures of Tom who must sometimes call on "the big world" outside the tree for magical help. He tells the audience to make particular magical moves and then say particular words to "send the magic to me". The magic is shown as orange stuff appearing from around the camera and flying at Tom, who collects it in his arms in a ball, and uses it for whatever problems come. The movements which the audience are called on to make are particularly beneficial for the development of children with dyspraxia. The series was developed in conjunction with the Dyspraxia Foundation with the aim of promoting movement. Foundation specialists worked with the series creators to develop the movements Tree Fu Tom uses to create magic. Five percent of children have dyspraxia, and these movements are similar to those used by occupational therapists to help child development. The magic spells also promote exercise in the lives of all young children. This program aired on the main digital stream.

Include any other comments or information you want the Commission to consider in evaluating your compliance with the Children's Television Act (or use this space for supplemental explanations). This may include information on any other noncore educational and informational programming that you aired this quarter or plan to air during the next quarter, or any existing or proposed non-broadcast efforts that will enhance the educational and informational value of such programming to children. See 47 C.F.R. Section 73.671, NOTES 2 and 3. During this quarter, WJAC aired public service announcements that addressed the topic of drunk driving in an effort to target teens during the summer season. Other announcements dealt with texting and driving, the use of car seats for children, resources available through Boystown, warning signs for teen suicide, the future for high school drop-outs, and the proper treatment of head and concussion injuries. WJAC-TV on-air personalities made several appearances this quarter at sites throughout the viewing area. Chief Meteorologist Jim Burton visited the Cambria County Fair on Sept. 5 to talk with viewers and sign autographs, and share information on careers in broadcasting. Jim served as the grand marshall of the New Centerville fair parade on Sept. 4, an event geared to families. On Sunday, Sept. 29, a group of station representatives participated in the 1st annual Color Run at Penn State University. They ran the race and manned a booth to giveaway water cups to the runner and information on careers in broadcasting. The race promoted fitness and fun while raising money for Penn State Homecoming festivities. Our team included Promotions Director David Tallarico, Sales Account Executives Cyndi Truscott, Eric Vizzini, and Dion Rumsey, Reporters Deven Clarke and Erin Callandra, and News Assignment Manager Marc Stempka. On Sept. 12, News Anchor Jen Johnson was the guest speaker for the Women's Information Network on the subject of how working mothers can best handle their responsibilities to their children and their careers.
