Include any other comments or information you want the Commission to consider in evaluating your compliance with the Children's Television Act (or use this space for supplemental explanations). This may include information on any other noncore educational and informational programming that you aired this quarter or plan to air during the next quarter, or any existing or proposed non-broadcast efforts that will enhance the educational and informational value of such programming to children. See 47 C.F.R. Section 73.671, NOTES 2 and 3. | Because of the June 12 transition to digital broadcasting, the station ceased its analog broadcast of its children's programming schedule following the weekend of June 6-7, 2009. On December 11, 2010, the Licensee signed off between the hours of 5am-8am in order to permit the installation of a new DTV antenna for KTXA. The time chosen was intended to afford sufficient light and favorable weather conditions including wind speeds, in order to provide maximum safety for those workers on site. While the Licensee does provide direct fiber optic feed to selected cable systems, it was required to sign off its over the air signal. As a result, Wild America and Made in Hollywood: Teen Edition did not air via an over the air signal. These episodes from 12/11/10 were rescheduled the following weekend, 12/18/10, at 1:30pm and 2pm, respectively. |
