WBFF continued to serve the educational and informational needs of children through broadcast and outreach efforts during the 3Q 2019.The station continues to reach out and work with non-profits and governmental agencies serving the needs of children by providing resources, promotion, and opportunity to share their mission and programs during news and community affairs programming . During this quarter, WBFF served a media sponsor producing and broadcastings PSAs as well as a Morning News hot Spot for FamFest benefiting the Family Tree of Maryland ; Boatyard Bash to benefit the Annapolis Maritime Museum and its environmental education program for area students; and Run Wild for Autism benefiting Pathfinders for Autism providing programs, resources and services for families with a member with autism. WBFF morning news anchor Patrice Sanders, emceed the 30th annual CollegeBound Foundation Scholars Awards and the station sponsored students attending the event. During the 3rd quarter, the station partnered with the Baltimore Chick-fil-A restaurants, to present the CFA Kids Correspondents . 12 children presented reports about Maryland attractions, history and traditions with our viewing audience. The FOX45 Morning News resumed its Weather Kids Wednesday feature with the beginning of the school year and provided on-the-set learning opportunities for youth ages 8 - 15 to be a Weather Kid ad help present the forecast on Wednesdays. Teachers nominated students and selected students received a weather lesson from the morning meteorologist and then helped present the forecast live during the morning news. The station continues to air public service announcements designed for childrens educational and information needs and broadcast of a community calendar designed for children and their families. Station management served on event and marketing committees for the Baltimore Area Boy Scouts and Muscular Dystrophy Association.

Supported by a team of Georgia Aquarium biologists, veterinarians, and other experts, Jeff Corwin travels the world to explore the Earths least understood resource, our oceans and waterways and the animals which call them home. He swims with manta rays, pointing out that their body form was the inspiration for the design of the Stealth jet. While in the water with whale sharks, he takes samples of their blood to better understand their biology. As Jeff continues his journey through each episode, the viewer is able to connect with these animals and learn how important they are to all life on the planet, as well as how sea life connects to life on the rest of the globe.
