This program is designed to educate students about tornadoes and what to do in the event of a tornado. Here are the schools Mark visited: Rice Elementary on 4/1/19 - 110 sixth grade students, Wylie Elementary in Henderson on 4/3/19 - 275 second graders, Chandler Elementary on 4/5/19 - 200 second & third grade students, Quitman Elementary on 4/11/19 - 300 second - fifth grade students, Andy Wood Elementary on 4/12/19 - 200 third & fourth grade students, Wise Elementary in Chapel Hill on 4/17/19 - 305 second- fifth grade students, Peete Elementary on 4/23/19 - 120 second-fifth grade students, Bullard Elementary on 4/25/19 - 400 third & fourth grade students. Mark appeared on KLTV's live stream program, East Texas Now, on 4/24/19 and presented Project Tornado Live to thousands of students viewing the stream. Mark gave a station tour to 60 UT Tyler education major students on 4/8/19. KLTV Promotions Manager Scott Stilley serves on the Board of Directors for The Arc of Smith County. The Arc of Smith County provides programs and services including residential and day camps, dances and socials, autism support groups while offering much needed respite to families and caregivers of special needs children. KLTV participates with a local hospital in the Neighborhood Weathernet Program. Weather stations are installed at schools throughout our viewing area. Students observe, record and analyze weather data. Statistics from different schools are presented in our daily weathercasts. NOTE: Dragonfly TV (KLTV 7 Main Channel) was preempted on 4/13/19 at 11:30am-12pm due to breaking news regarding severe weather in our area. Taller del Consumidor, episode #1013 (KLTV 7.3 Telemundo) that aired on 6/30/19 at 1:30pm is a makegood for a preemption from third quarter on 7/6/19. It aired in a third quarter secondary home. As a result, we are reporting a slight overage this quarter to make up for next quarter's preemption.
