Les Still celebrated River Bends severe weather safety fair by providing a weather presentation. Students from Beaufort Elementary School visited the station to learn and explore the various careers associated with Television Broadcasting. Students from Havelock High School visited the station to get an inside look at preproduction and post-production, and to understand the overall ins and outs of a TV station. Retirees from Arapahoe Retirement Club visited the station to learn all about how a broadcast is put together. In addition to stations tours for local students, WYDO broadcast over 1,900 public service announcements covering a number of topics that range from education, health, and public safety.
