We are partnered with an outstanding organization, Intermountain Healthcare. Collectively we work to create a state where all Utahns can live, grow and prosper in healthy and happy communities. In conjunction with Intermountain Healthcare, KUTV holds and Ask the Expert event once a month on the second Tuesday. During these events viewers are encouraged to call in an seek free medical advice from Intermountain professionals. Spots run on all three stations, KUTV, KMYU, KJZZ. ON KUTV we do a story in the morning news show, three hits in the noon, and on hit at 3pm and on hit at 5pm. In April, the Ask the Expert campaign addressed immunizations. In May we focused on sleep, its importance and how to resolve sleeping issues for adults and infants alike. In June we addressed diabetes. Check Your Health KUTV in partnership with the Department of Health and Intermountain includes a media buy on KUTV, KMYU and KJZZ and the Broadway radio group. We run commercials and stories to encourage viewers to make good choices like being physical active and eating healthy. This campaign has a broad demographic and we are reaching persons ages 35 to 64. We are now airing a spot regarding the health of women. Baby Your Baby KUTV in partnership with the Department of Health and Intermountain includes a media buy on KUTV, KMYU and KJZZ and the Broadway radio group. This campaign focuses on women 18 to 35 sharing the message of seeing your doctor 13 times during your pregnancy and by the 13th week you are pregnant. We cover news stories, have in studio interviews and maintain multiple social media platforms. We are now airing a spot focused on the 30th anniversary of Baby Your Baby. Give Hope Telethon KUTV in partnership with the American Cancer Society and Cyprus Credit Union wrapped us the third annual KUTV Give Hop Campaign. One hundred percent of the proceeds went to the American Cancer Society for their Hope Lodge in Salt Lake City. The Hope Lodge is a free of charge living facility for cancer patients who travel long distances for treatment in Utah. Total donations reached nearly Fifty Thousand Dollars. A strong television schedule on KUTV, KMYU and KJZZ promoted this campaign and encouraged viewers to donate at KUTV.com. There was also Fresh Living appearances and targeted digital elements. This all let up to a telethon on April 5th. Local Radio Station Z104 broadcasted live from the telethon to spread the word. Backyard BBQ This year marks the third annual KUTV Backyard BBQ. Channel 2 has partnered with four sponsors to encourage viewers to enter a photo of their backyard for a chance to win a fully catered BBQ for 25 family and friends plus tow shrubs and a Camp Chef Grill. KUTV Chief Meteorologist Sterling Poulson broadcasts his weather forecast live during the 5 and 6 pm news every Friday for 9 weeks from the winners homes. Spots run on all three stations KUTV, KMYU and KJZZ. There is also a strong digital element with FB live videos and various other posts. So far hundreds of photos have been submitted across our DMA. Keys to Success KUTV has partnered with the Keys To Success Program for the twelfth year to help students in education through individual recognition. Students in participating Keys To Success high schools earn rewards by improving academically or setting goals with their teachers. Participants can earn scholarships, ipads and some students are entered to win a car. KUTV and KJZZ promotes the program by going live from the car giveaway events. The event is also spread through the stations social media avenues.
