KTXS airs a variety of Public Service Announcements (PSAs) in support of important children's issues such as the importance of staying in school, child passenger safety, water safety and bullying prevention. KTXS also provides information to educate children on the many careers in the broadcast field through station tours and school visits . Additionally, on August 30 KTXS Meteorologist Melissa Valdez in conjunction with local restaurant, The Flipping Egg, helped raised monetary donations for Red Cross benefiting Hurricane Harvey victims. On August 31, KTXS station as a whole held a donation drive, KTXS Cares: Day of Giving, to help Hurricane Harvey victims. Canned goods, water, hygiene products, clothing and monetary donations were accepted in this drive.
