We also air on a regular basis PSAs provided to us by Drug Free America, which are geared toward children. During 1st quarter, Jamie Kagol, Chief Meteorologist and Ahmad Bajjey, Meteorologist visited area classrooms to discuss what a meteorologist does at work, how the forecast is put together, where we get our data and what kind of schooling is involved in getting a degree in meteorology. The visit is wrapped up with a Q&A segment with the students which usually involves questions about tornadoes, hurricanes and lightning. Kelli Taylor, reporter, had a student from Grand Blanc High School "shadow" her for a day. Dave Bondy, news anchor, participated in the List Elementary School Career Day. Joel Feick, news anchor, participated in the Powers Catholic High School Career Day. Kristen Aguirre, news anchor, represented the station the Big Brothers/Big Sisters local media Hot Shot Celebrity Archery Contest. Greg Hall, production manager, participated in the Bendle High School Career Day. Staff members, 22 employees, participated in the Big Brothers/Big Sisters Bowl for Kids' Sake fundraiser.
