CHECK YOUR HEALTH - ongoing campaign in 2017 - KMYU has a long term working relationship with the Department of Health & Intermountain Healthcare for Check Your Health and Baby Your Baby. Check Your Health is a campaign that includes media coverage on KMYU & with the Simmons radio group. Commercials and stories are run that encourage viewers to make good health choices, be active and eat healthy. This campaign has a broad range that we are trying to reach; male, female, old and young. BABY YOUR BABY - on going campaign in 2017 - this campaign focuses on women 18-35, sharing the message of seeing your doctor 13 times during your pregnancy and by the 13th week you are pregnant. We cover stories on KMYU and encourage women to participate in pre-natal and post-delivery care. SOUPER BOWL OF CARING - KUTV and KMYU kicked off the fifth year of Souper Bowl of Caring and it was one for the record books. This promotion aims to fight child hunger in Utah by raising funds through viewers, corporate donations and school fundraisers. The TV schedule started at the beginning of January and the link to donate went live on kutv.com at the same time. This all builds up to the day long telethon on February 1st. Over the years, we have raised almost one million dollars for Souper Bowl of Caring. HEALTH EXPO - For the 6th year, KUTV and KMYU created a Health Expo in February. It was free to the public featuring more than 100 vendors offering health and wellness services of every kind. This year we added a "Coach's Corner" and invited state wide and NFL caliber athletes and coaches to meet their fans. Thousands of Utahns were able to benefit from free screenings including blood pressure, cancer, chiropractic, dental and hearing. Aggressive television and digital schedules, as well as interviews with key sponsors, helped to promote this event. We had higher social media traffic this year than in previous years. Attendees included young families to senior citizens. There was a dance and fitness stage as well as a cooking stage to both entertain and educate the public on ways to improve their overall health. |
