Our Chief Meteorologist and other various staff visited local high schools and libraries to prompt registration in the No Text Zone program to prompt no texting while driving. Melissa Smith (anchor) was a judge for Tribes go Talent, a talent contest for children of the local Indian Tribe. We ran the following PSAs during 1st quarter 2017 that covered topics that applied to childrenm No Text Zone, several different Al Anon, Addiction Support, Bully Prevention, Diversity and Inclusion, Drug Free America, Drug Free Kids, Genius of Play, Sexual Assault Prevention, Inland Seas, Michigan high School Athletics, NAB Brain on Drugs, No Hungry Kid, Recycling, Reducing Food Waste, Seat Belt Safety, and Voices of Young Volunteers, and Unicef.
