See 47 C.F.R. Section 73.671, NOTES 2 and 3. 10/1/16: Yukon Czech Festival - Station had a booth for this family event that was attended by approximately 50,000 people. KOKH was a sponsor of the St. Jude Dream Home Giveaway. Phone banks were held inside the newscasts, along with a public service campaign so viewers could buy tickets. KOKH helped raise $660,500.00 from dream home ticket sales. This money goes directly to the foundation to help children. 10/4/16: Malcolm Tubbs, reporter, spoke to a class at Northern Oklahoma College about his position as morning reporter. 10/5/16: Station Tour and Visit - John Wilhelm, Sales Promotion, Fletcher Reed and Wendy Dire, sales, gave a tour to a group of eleven marketing students and their professor from Oklahoma State University. They were able to talk to our sales staff about how sales and marketing works in the broadcast television business. 10/8/16: OK Bikes 4 Kids Meeting - Jeff George, meteorologist heads up this fundraiser every year which gives selected children a bike for Christmas. 11/5/16: National Weather Festival - The weather team and storm trackers attended and presented at this public event. They performed weather experiments for the kids, and displayed weather video along with free safety DVD's. The chase vehicles were on display for viewing and kids could explore and ask questions. The weather balloon launch wrapped up the festival. 11/22/16: Children's Center Rehab Hospital Christmas Party. Jeff George dressed as Santa and visited with the children, handed out gifts and sang Christmas carols. 11/30/16: College Class Panel - Shelby Cashman, anchor, participated in Press Watch at OCU University. The journalism and mass communications class produced two programs that included a journalist (Shelby) and a political scientist. This was an opportunity for the students to learn about the Presidential Election, the media's responsibilities, polls, fake news stories and other issues that surrounded this election. 12/2/16: Future Forecasters School Visit - Jeff George visited Centennial Elementary. Students learn about science, meteorology and weather safety as he holds an interactive presentation. 12/7/16: Station Tour and Visit - Shelby Cashman, anchor, gave a tour of the station to the OCU Mass Communications Class of fifteen students. 12/7/16: IMCI Meeting - Jeff George is an executive member of It's My Community Initiative, a non-profit organization whose mission is developing and expanding efforts to strengthen communities by building strong, healthy families. They are focused on holding a high standard for services provided to low-income families. IMCI spearheads community projects, tackling issues of health, education and employment..
