The programs are designed to be child friendly, nonviolent, wholesome and informative. During the fourth quarter of 2016, WMBC aired such reports as the following. 437 fake IDs were confiscated and 411 people arrested during a statewide crackdown on underage drinking at summer concerts throughout NY, according to NY Gov. Andrew Cuomo. Throughout a day in October, members of the NY Immigration Coalition and other organizations will visit over 100 schools throughout the five boroughs with the goal of registering nearly 10K eligible students. Supporters say the Every Student Succeeds Act means equal opportunity for students and an opportunity for educators and parents to help shape education policy in their own state. The Kinnelon Colts volleyball team are showing they are a force to be reckoned with, with a victory against West Essex. nickname and logo amid controversy. Mount Saint Dominic Academy volleyball team defeated Rutgers Prep 2 games to 0 but fell the Union Catholic in the second round, ending their season. The James Caldwell volleyball team squeaked out a win against Vernon two games to one. After amassing a 23 and 5 record, the Kinnelon Colts volleyball team stormed through the first 2 rounds of the Group 1 State Tournament. Heroes walked among middle school students by sharing accounts of war and experiences from times past. The NJ Yanticaw Classroom consists of 3 tiers of seating and the outdoor classroom can accommodate 30 students. A 5 year old girl found abandoned inside Port Authority bus terminal led police to the girl's murdered mother in CT and raised questions about the girl's father. NJ Senators Sweeney and Lesniak are calling for expansion of the Breakfast After the Bell Program that provides meals for children from low income families. While the Montville Mustangs have yet to collect their first win, the team is playing competitive hockey and show they have the talent to turn things around. In this year's High Point Stuff the Bus program, teachers and staff say having students pass the food to one another helps all to focus on the meaning behind the program. The Livingston Lancers and West Morris Central Wolf Pack battle it out in ice hockey action, with the Lancers making a comeback. Arriving with help from the Newark Police Department, fire fighters and even those posing as Batman and Kris Kringle lugged bags of toys and a brand new bike to spread holiday cheer. WMBC-TV's Mountain Views program, which airs on Saturdays, provides information and discussion on Sunday school programs, ministries for children and youth, Bible studies and other activities.
