WQOW had several Children's E/I programs that were periodically interrupted on July 20, 2019 to provide breaking news information about severe weather in our viewing area. ABC aired a special report on breaking news that Jeffrey Epstein died by suicide on August 10, 2019 from 8:00-8:06am which interrupted E/I program. WQOW EVENTS FOR THE THIRD QUARTER OF 2019 COUNTDOWN TO KICKOFF ON AUGUST 21 News 18 aired a PSA for its annual football preview speicial Countdown To Kickoff. This program featured all local area high school football programs with an in depth look at each team for the 2016 season. Sports Director Colin Talbert and Rebecca Fiala was featured in the PSA which encouraged viewers to watch this special program. WQOW ran a promotional schedule leading up to the event LEADER TELEGRAM BUCKSHOT RUN ON AUGUST 31 WQOW aired a PSA encouraging viewers to participate and sign up for the Leader Telegram Buckshot Run. This two mile run takes place at Carson Park in Eau Claire. The Buckshot Run is in its 36th year. Along with the two and five mile runs for the adults there is also a kids dash on September 2. WQOW ran a promotional schedule leading up to the event. NORTHERN WISCONSIN STATE FAIR JULY 10 THROUGH 14 News18 aired a promotion alerting viewers that the Northern Wisconsin State Fair is approaching. This commercial urged viewers to attend the fair and visit our staff on the fair grounds. This promotion was presented by News18s.

Oh Baby! is a live action, half-hour television program designed to meet the educational and informational needs of children aged 13-16. Oh Baby! will take viewers on a journey around the world to meet and observe some of the most curious and captivating wild baby animals. Audiences will discover how wild animal parents of numerous species teach their babies important survival skills that help them thrive in the many changing seasons. Hosted by Anji Corley, Oh Baby! will highlight a myriad of baby milestones from birth, to playing, to grooming, and learning valuable life-lessons from mom or dad. Each week, viewers will be immersed in a new environment and uncover fascinating facts about the wild baby residents and their families.
