MAIN DIGITAL CHANNEL: Teen Kids News is an educational program geared for students ages 13-16. The first kid-to-kid newscast teaches students about the world by delivering news that is important to them. Teen Kids News also gives students a voice. Each week, students can log in to a designated website to vote on different topics ranging from the War in Iraq to teen drinking. All topics are educational but are presented in an age-appropriate manner so students can better understand. In addition to delivering the news, teachers are also encouraged to download scripts of the show and hold their own newscasts in the classroom to help teach public speaking, reading and writing skills. Each week, Teen Kids News also has vocabulary quizzes. The half hour program can be seen coast to coast and has received tremendous feedback from teachers nationwide.

Children Liaison Director, Debbie Roberson, is a member of the Jefferson County Public School Advisory Board and served on the committee that redesigned the Communication, Arts and Media magnet school curriculum for three area high schools. Through this partnership, station staff has visited Ballard High School's communication class, assisting with their media school projects and speaking about the various career opportunities in broadcasting. This is one of the high schools participating in this magnet program.

MAIN DIGITAL CHANNEL: Teen Kids News is an educational program geared for students ages 13-16. The first kid-to-kid newscast teaches students about the world by delivering news that is important to them. Teen Kids News also gives students a voice. Each week, students can log in to a designated website to vote on different topics ranging from the War in Iraq to teen drinking. All topics are educational but are presented in an age-appropriate manner so students can better understand. In addition to delivering the news, teachers are also encouraged to download scripts of the show and hold their own newscasts in the classroom to help teach public speaking, reading and writing skills. Each week, Teen Kids News also has vocabulary quizzes. The half hour program can be seen coast to coast and has received tremendous feedback from teachers nationwide.
