This quarter, KABC-TV ran over 250 public service announcements PSAs on D1 and over 1,000 PSAs on D2 specifically geared to children during various dayparts, including time periods in and around our children's programming. These PSAs covered subjects ranging from nutrition to education and volunteering. KABC-TV also produces the local public affairs/informational program Vista L.A., which showcases positive influences for young and older Latino viewers. KABC-TV also sponsors many community events throughout southern California. Feed SoCal: ABC7, Vons, Albertsons, Pavilions, Subaru, ESPN LA 710, Mathis Brothers and Southern California regional food banks partnered up for the 8th Annual Feed SoCal Food Drive. The food drive took place from May 29 through July 2, 2019. ABC7 produced and aired Public Service Announcement's with on-air News Talent Marc Brown, Michelle Tuzee, Ellen Leyva, David Ono, Dallas Raines, Phillip Palmer, Leslie Sykes, Leslie Lopez and Brandi Hitt and held four Stuff-a-Truck events on Friday, June 14, 2019 and Friday, June 21, 2019. The month long campaign resulted in the collection of almost 7 million pounds of food for the food banks, which translated into almost 6 million meals. Autism Speaks 'Walk Now for Autism': ABC7 produced and aired Public Service Announcements with Eyewitness News Anchor Ellen Leyva, promoting the walk. The Event was held on April 27, 2019. ABC7 is the Media Sponsor and we participated in the Walk, as well as manned a Booth. L.A. Pride Parade: Promoted and produced a two hour live broadcast, and continued for an hour more via web streaming, of the 49th annual 'L.A. Pride Parade' on June 9, 2019. The Parade celebrates Pride, as thousands from LA's LGBTQ community, including straight allies, come together in the spirit of unity and togetherness. The Station provided all of the production resources for the televised event and ABC7. Children's Hospital Los Angeles 'Walk and Play L.A.': ABC7 is the Media Sponsor of 'Walk and Play L.A.' which was held on June 22, 2019. Coleen Sullivan was the Mistress of Ceremonies and we manned a Booth, where we passed out ABC7 visors.
