He welcomed and warmed the crowd, handed out annual awards and introduced winners, got the games kicked off, and handed out ribbons to event winners. This is also a great event to interact and take pictures with the public. 4/6- Storm Watch Safety Day at the Science Museum Oklahoma. We educated and entertained over 4,000 guests on severe weather safety at our first annual event. On top of severe weather safety, the weather team had fun, educational activity stations all around the museum. The Future Forecasters program allows students to soak up the science of meteorology as our meteorologists break down extreme weather safety in our simplified and highly interactive presentation. Our meteorologist hand out homework assignments to ensure kids and their families work together to find their safe spot and know exactly what to do and where to go when severe weather strikes; 4/9- Chip Maxim visited the Cedar Ridge Treatment Center. 4/17- Jeff George visited Grand Tapestry Elementary School; 4/23- Jeff George visited Perkins- Tyron Elementary School; 4/30- Chip Maxim visited Jackson Elementary School; 5/31- Jeff George took part in the Children's Center and Rehab Hospital 2019 Prom: the prom's theme this year was "Under The Big Top". Jeff was a "Prom Pal" or date for one of the hospital's patients, Jaden. Jeff wore a tux, showed up to the hospital, escorted his pal to the dance, took pictures and video, and danced the day away. He also interacted with the crowd, patients, and staff and made a short speech. 6/20- Jeff George participated in the OK Bikes 4 Kids Board Meeting and Bicycle Pick-Up/Donations. Jeff picked up a few bicycle donations across town and delivered them to our Bikes 4 Kids depot. As a co-founder and Board Member for this nonprofit event whose mission is "to get every boy and girl in need, a bicycle to love and care for. He then had a brief board meeting in which there was discussion of strategy and a plan on how to raise funds, bicycles, and bicycle parts for the summer and fall giveaways. KOCB aired the following public service announcements geared towards children and teens; CW Good, Human Society, STEM, Project Roadblock; drinking and driving, Shriners Hospital, Stafford Air and Space Museum.
