See 47 C.F.R. Section 73.671, NOTES 2 and 3. During 4th Quarter 2018 WNUV aired and produced numerous PSAs directly relating to and serving the educational and informational needs of children. A weekly and monthly calendar is also produced for broadcast that promotes local events geared for families and children. WNUV joined with the few, the proud, The Marines for TOYS FOR TOTS. The Marines provide new Christmas toys for 60,000 children in the metro area. WNUV aired PSAs to promote Toys for Tots to encourage viewers to donate toys. WNUV kicked of its annual black history campaign, Champions of Courage. Champions of Courage is a showcase for students to honor those who have shared the teachings of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. with young people. The competition challenges students to salute their personal heroes or mentors, positive role models who have inspired them to dream, to overcome, and to achieve. The competition is open to all Maryland students grades 6 through 12. WNUV regularly conducts tours of the stations for schools, boy scout troupes, colleges, and other educational groups seeking to learn about the operations of a television station. WNUV carried the Championship Football Games of MPSSAA Maryland Public Secondary School Athletic Association on November 29th at 7p, November 30th at 7:30p, and December 1st at 3:30p and 7p. A half hour highlight special aired at 630p on December 1st.
