Vets Saving Pets examines the interpersonal stories of veterinary professionals working to save the lives of animals in need of urgent medical care. Vets Saving Pets takes place at the Emergency Veterinary Trauma Center in Toronto, one of the busiest veterinary facilities in Canada. See 47 C.F.R. Section 73.671, NOTES 2 and 3. All shows were developed specifically with the young adolescent and pre-school child in mind. Each program was supported by a team composed of the creative personnel (producers and writers), an educational consultant, and several technical consultants verified all the factual content or tested that competitive challenges that were presented in each program. The educational consultant worked with the creative team to convey content at a level of comprehension for the target audience and to develop age-appropriate themes for learning within each episode of every program. All of the educational content was integrated into the action and movement of each episode so that the entertainment and education would be interdependent and present throughout the program. (It was necessary to reschedule certain shows this quarter due to conflicts with live network sports. In each instance of rescheduling, prior notice was given to viewers both over-the-air and through local listings services.) On October 3, 2018, KOB Meteorologist Jorge Torres, spoke to 4th graders at Bernalillo and showed them what a meteorologist does. On October 10, 2018, KOB Meteorologist Jorge Torres spoke with the Kindergarten class at Jackson about weather by showing them photos and experiments. On October 12, 2018, KOB Meteorologist Jorge Torres spoke to 4th graders at McKinley Elementary School in Farmington, NM. Jorge demonstrated how weather works and what it takes to be a meteorologist. On October 12, 2018, KOB Meteorologist Jorge Torres, spoke to 2nd and 3rd graders in Bloomfield, NM about the ins and outs of working in broadcast television and what it takes to be a meteorologist.
