Our meteorologist explains weather and station components, including weather computers and how they track the weather systems. On Sunday, July 29, 2018 core program Into the Outdoors ran in its entirety at 11:30 AM but did not have the E/I symbol. The syndicator did not offer a make-good version with the E/I logo. On Saturday, September 1, 2018, core programs Jack Hanna's Wild Countdown, Ocean Treks with Jeff Corwin, Sea Rescue, The Wildlife Docs, Rock the Park, and Vacation Creation with Tommy Davidson and Andrea Feczko were preempted from their regularly scheduled times from 8:00 AM through 11:00 AM CST air breaking news coverage of the funeral proceedings of American hero and Senator John McCain. The late-breaking nature of his passing and scheduling of his funeral service were beyond the control of the station and made it impracticable for the station to reschedule the preempted shows.
