NON-BROADCAST EFFORTS: During this quarter, a number of WWL/WUPL-TV's on-air anchors/reporters and off-air employees volunteered their time to meet and speak to students at various elementary, middle and high schools in the New Orleans and surrounding areas, addressing such issues as the importance of staying in school and achieving an education, career opportunities in journalism and broadcasting, the dangers of drug and alcohol use, and other issues children face in today's society.
