To help the family with their fresh start, the hosts and a dedicated team of designers and volunteers transform the family's bare house into a warm home by using goods and services donated by people in the community. The new home will provide much-needed stability to meet the family's specific needs, stimulate their interests and promote their goals. The program teaches viewers the importance of giving back in their communities, to never give up when faced with a tough situation, and gratitude for the basic living necessities that we often take for granted.
