This may include information on any other noncore educational and informational programming that you aired this quarter or plan to air during the next quarter, or any existing or proposed non-broadcast efforts that will enhance the educational and informational value of such programming to children. See 47 C.F.R. Section 73.671, NOTES 2 and 3. On Sunday, July 22nd 'Teen Kids News' was preempted from its regularly scheduled time from 10:30a-11a to air a Live, local, on-site coverage of our 11th 'Tri for a Cure' event that is designed to bring awareness and fundraising to the Maine Cancer Foundation. On Saturday, September 1st, 'J.H.W.Countdown' #JA719, 'Ocean Treks' #OT222, 'Sea Rescue' #SR722, 'Wildlife Docs' #WD523, 'R.T.Park' #RP422, and 'V.Creation' #VC222 were preempted from their regularly scheduled times from 9a-12p to air breaking news coverage of the funeral proceedings of American hero and Senator John McCain. The late-breaking nature of his passing and scheduling of his funeral service were beyond the control of the station and made it impracticable for the station to reschedule 'J.H.W.Countdown' #JA719, 'Ocean Treks' #OT222, 'Sea Rescue' #SR722, 'Wildlife Docs' #WD523, 'R.T.Park' #RP422, and 'V.Creation' #VC222. Note that E/I programming changed times on H&I. Effective 8/3-9/2 children's programming moved from 9a-12p to 7a-10a. Effective 9/3 children's programming moved back to 9a-12p. One or more episodes of children's programming that was preempted during the quarter was not rescheduled. The Digital Core Programming Summary section of this report would not permit the station to include preemption reports for such unrescheduled preemptions, and FCC Staff has advised that no preemption report for such unrescheduled episodes is necessary.
