CBS Austin also provides information to educate children on the many careers in the broadcast field and donates to community events benefiting children in our area. Additionally, on April 27th, CBS -Austin Chief Meteorologist Chikage Windler conducted a "Weather Talk" among students at Forest Creek Elementary School (Round Rock ISD) during their STEAM Day events. Mrs. Windler also conducted a "Weather Talk" at the Vacation Liberty Summer Camp (ages 7-12) in Weir on June 19th. She was also a participant on the CBS-Austin Team during the 2018 Sunshine Run benefiting Austin Sunshine Camps (May 6th), and again at the Fit Foodie Run benefiting Austin's No Kid Hungry campaign.
