CHECK YOUR HEALTH - ongoing campaign - KUTV solidified the long-term working relationship with the Department of Health & Intermountain Healthcare for Check Your Health and Baby Your Baby. Check Your Health is a campaign that includes media coverage on KUTV & the Broadway Radio Group. Commercials and stories are run that encourage viewers to make good choices, be active and eat healthy. This campaign has a broad range that we are trying to reach; male, female, old and young. BABY YOUR BABY - on going campaign - this campaign focuses on women 18-35, sharing the message of seeing your doctor 13 times during your pregnancy and by the 13th week you are pregnant. We cover stories, have in studio interviews and maintain multiple social media platforms that encourage women to participate in pre-natal and post-delivery care. ASK THE EXPERT - KUTV works with Intermountain Healthcare providing health care information to our viewers. Collectively we work to create a state where all Utahns can live, grow and prosper in healthy and happy communities. In conjunction with Intermountain Healthcare, KUTV holds an Ask The Expert event once a month. During these infothons, viewers are encouraged to call in and seek free medical advice from Intermountain professionals. In 1Q2018, the Ask the Expert campaign topics included heart health and opioid addiction. SOUPER BOWL OF CARING: KUTV kicked off the 5th year of Souper Bowl of Caring and we broke last year's donation record. This promotion aims to fight child hunger in Utah by raising funds through viewers and corporate donations as well as school fundraisers. The TV schedule started in January as did the link to donate on kutv.com. KUTV HEALTH AND FITNESS FAIR: For the seventh year, KUTV created a Health and Fitness Fair, free to the public, featuring more than a hundred vendors offering health and wellness services of every kind. Thousands of Utahns benefitted from screenings including blood pressure, cancer, chiropractic, dental and hearing. An aggressive television, online and radio schedule, as well as interviews with key partners, helped to promote this event. Attendees included young families to senior citizens. There was a dance and fitness stage as well as cooking stage to both entertain and educate the public on ways to improve their overall health.
