They witnessed two events. First, they saw the healing of Syrian military commander General Naaman of leprosy. The Syrian went to see Elisha and asked the prophet to cure him. Unfortunately,he told him to go bath in the Jordan River seven times and he would be clean. Naaman got angry but his servant asked him to try it.The Syrian went to the Jordan River and he was healed. The second event was the battle between the Israelites and Syrians. The Syrian soldiers were about to attack them but Elisha prayed to God.With his prayer, the Syrians became blind as they were about to attack the Israelites which allowed the latter to win the war. This was a great episode for our young viewers as they realized the great effects of having faith in God such as healing in the case of Naaman and achieving the impossible in terms with the battle between the Syrians and Israelites. |

The first part that they reached was when Elijah was staying with a widow and her daughter. They were providing for the prophet.In the later part, we get to see at the time when King Ahab permitted the worship of Baal. To enhance his decision of this worship, he decided to let the prophets of Baal engage in a warfare between them and Elijah to prove the credibility of their god and disprove God's existence. The battle became interesting in the sense that they tried to have Baal and God set fire in the altar. The prophets of Baal prayed so hard for three hours but to no avail. As for Elijah, he asked the altar to be watered and the surroundings be placed with a canal of water. In a few minutes, there was fire in the altar. This was nice to see the battle between Baal and God to prove that the latter is the true and living almighty God. Also, it presents us events that God will never fore sake us just like what he did to Elijah. Finally,one can never be sure of what God will ask you to do. In this case, Elijah was taken care of a widow and her daughter - people who least likely would take care of a prophet considering they themselves are having difficulty in meeting their everyday needs due to poverty and hardship. |

To enhance his decision of this worship, he decided to let the prophets of Baal engage in a warfare between them and Elijah to prove the credibility of their god and disprove God's existence. The battle became interesting in the sense that they tried to have Baal and God set fire in the altar. The prophets of Baal prayed so hard for three hours but to no avail. As for Elijah, he asked the altar to be watered and the surroundings be placed with a canal of water. In a few minutes, there was fire in the altar. This was nice to see the battle between Baal and God to prove that the latter is the true and living almighty God. Also, it presents us events that God will never fore sake us just like what he did to Elijah. Finally,one can never be sure of what God will ask you to do. In this case, Elijah was taken care of a widow and her daughter - people who least likely would take care of a prophet considering they themselves are having difficulty in meeting their everyday needs due to poverty and hardship. |

Then,the get to learn faith in God during the time when he asked God's help to interpret King's dreams.
