See 47 C.F.R. Section 73.671, NOTES 2 and 3. On 7/25/17 the Creative Services Director led a tour of the station for 12 students from Access Family Services, a special needs summer program for kids. He addressed the different departments and spoke about careers in broadcasting. The group then watched production of our Noon newscast. The station conducted a station tour on 9/19/17 for nine students, aged 15 to 18 from Arapahoe Charter School in Arapahoe, NC.. The students gained access to see and understand the workings of a television station, and viewed an actual newscast. On August 31, 2017 at 7:00 PM WCTI aired "The Boys Of Summer: 2017 Greenville North State All Stars" that profiled the Greenville, NC little league team's journey to the Little League World Series in Williamsport, PA. The program aired on the main digital station. On 8-3-17 Meteorologist Les Still visited Vanceboro Farm Life Elementary in Vanceboro, NC where he read to 50 summer reading campers, aged 7 to 9 years, to help inspire them to be life-long readers and learners.
