Tickets went on sale for chance to win the St. Jude Dream Home, sponsored by the station. 1,100 were sold this first day. All proceeds are donated to the St. Jude Children's Hospital. 6/6/17: OK Bikes 4 Kids Pick Up and Deliver/Meeting - Jeff George heads up this fundraiser every year which gives children in need a bicycle. He picked up donated bikes and delivered them to the bike depot. In the meeting they discussed how to raise funds for events and media appearances to meet their goal. KOKH is helping Habitat for Humanity build a home in the Legacy Estates edition. Many station employees volunteered their time in June to get the house started from the ground up. This will continue through July until the house is completed. KOKH aired the following public service announcements geared towards children and teens; St. Jude Children's Hospital, Ad Council Bully Prevention, OKC Memorial Marathon, Stafford Air and Space Museum, Project Roadblock/Anti Drinking and Driving and Drug Free America/kids. |
