Section 73.671, NOTES 2 and 3. | KSNV addressed the educational and informational needs of children in our community through a combination of programming, PSAs, public appearances, community service and studio tours to local youth groups. Studio tours were conducted for: Alexander Dawson School on 1/11/17, Discovery Charter School on 1/26/17 and Southern Highlands Preparatory School on 3/10/17. Visits to schools by on-air personalities included: Many of our Newscasters read to various schools for Nevada Reading Week 2/27/17 - 3/3/17. Weatherman Kevin Janison also gave weather presentations at Imagine School on 1/12/17, Matt Kelly Elementary on 1/23/17, Edwards Elementary on 2/10/17, Staton Elementary on 3/16/17 and William Moore Elementary on 3/24/17. In-Studio Interviews included: Broadway in the Hood on 2/2/17 and the Positively Arts Foundation on 3/14/17. "Make-A-Wish Monday" is a regular segment in KSNV newscasts that features children diagnosed with life-threatening medical conditions that have their wishes granted by the Make-A-Wish Foundation. |
