In each program, the cameras follow the host, Jack Hanna, as he spends time with nature's creatures across the continents. Jack talks with people that are knowledgeable about each animal and habitat, teaching as he goes. Due to a technical error at the LAFF TV Network, the following E/I series programming carried on LAFF/D3, displayed the requisite E/I symbol before each episode but did not display it throughout the program on 10/1/16, 10/8/16 and 10/15/16. LAFF TV notified this station that the technical issue has been resolved. Additionally, the affected programs were re-broadcast with the requisite E/I symbol as make goods provided by LAFF TV according to the schedule in the attachment to this report, which we are entering as a preemption, as per FCC Staff advice. However, other than the E/I display problem, this program did air as regularly scheduled.

Produced for ages 13-16, Sea Rescue offers educational and entertaining television by demonstrating the welfare and medical benefits that rescue and rehabilitation programs provide animals. Viewers will also learn that there's a reciprocal benefit: rescued animals provide valuable insight into their biology and ecology. However, other than the E/I display problem, this program did air as regularly scheduled.

Children First is a yearlong effort with KFSN/ABC30 and its partners - Valley Children's Hospital, Educational Employees Credit Union, and Tulare County Office of Education- which focuses on the challenges, problems and opportunities facing children and youth. KFSN's involvement in Children First includes local news-produced half-hour programs, 30-second vignettes and public service announcements (PSAs) that included such topics as "Toys for Tots Marathon Weekend," "Inexpensive Fun," "Over-Scheduling Your Children," "Children First: Connected Kids" along with special reports on Action News (all on 30.1). KFSN aired the half-hour locally produced Special "Children First: Connected Kids" on Sunday, November 20, 2016 at 6:30PM, Sunday, November 27, 2016 at 10:30AM and on Sunday December 4, 2016 at 5:00PM.
